These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Dutcho, a shared-expenses application operated by Dutcho (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By using Dutcho, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Dutcho. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at dutcho.app@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account.
3. Use of the Service
Dutcho is a tool to help you record, split, and settle shared expenses. You agree to:
- Use Dutcho only for lawful purposes.
- Not misuse the service to defraud, harass, or harm other users.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the service.
- Not create false expense records or manipulate balances dishonestly.
4. Expense Data & Accuracy
Dutcho is a record-keeping tool. We do not process, hold, or transfer actual money between users. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of expense data you enter. We are not liable for financial disputes between users arising from data entered into the app.
5. Groups & Invitations
When you invite someone to a group, you confirm you have their consent to share their name and expense data within that group. Guest users (non-registered contacts) will have their email stored for the purpose of linking their account when they sign up.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code in Dutcho is owned by us. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without our written permission. You retain ownership of the expense data you enter.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Dutcho is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that balance calculations will always be accurate. Always verify important financial matters independently.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dutcho shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including financial disputes between users.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
